Role Purpose:

The AVP/VP – Academics is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the academic strategy of Jaipuria Institute of Management across its four campuses. This position ensures academic excellence, quality assurance, curriculum innovation, robust research outcomes, successful accreditations, and continuous faculty development. As a member of the Leadership Team, the role partners with Campus Directors, Deans and other Academic leaders to deliver a consistent, high-quality learning experience aligned with the Institute’s mission and global standards. The person in the role would be part of Board of Management (highest internal decision making body) of the institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership & Strategy

• Drive continuous improvement in curriculum design and delivery to maintain academic excellence.
• Lead the formulation and implementation of academic policies to ensure relevance and quality.
• Champion enhancement of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring effective dashboarding and timely updates.

Quality Assurance & Accreditation

• Lead and strengthen Central IQAC to uphold statutory and quality standards.
• Drive institutional accreditation goals:

  accreditation to build academic rigour
• Secure

  NBA

  accreditation for all programs at all campuses.
• Improve

  NIRF

  rankings in line with the campus-specific targets.
• Build strategy for participation in

  QS Ranking

  of the Institute
• Build and institutionalize robust student feedback systems to inform continuous improvement.

Research Excellence

• Promote a strong research culture and drive achievement of research outcomes in line with cumulative campus targets.
• Support and incentivize high-quality publications, projects, and research initiatives through right research policy.

Process & Policy Improvement

• Identify, design, and implement academic process improvements at both pan-campus and course-specific levels.
• Manage academic data systems and ensure integrity and accessibility of databases.
• Drive cost-effective academic operations while maintaining high standards.

Faculty Development & Networking

• Organize and deliver the Annual Faculty Development Programme (FDP) with clear learning objectives.
• Build academic partnerships and networks at national and international levels.
• Mentor, develop, and lead academic teams at the Head Office and across campuses to build capability and alignment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• PhD in Management or a related discipline (preferred).
• Minimum 15–20 years of progressive academic leadership experience, ideally overseeing multi-campus or large institutional academic operations.
• Demonstrated success in managing accreditations (AACSB/NBA/NAAC).
• Proven experience in curriculum design, research promotion, and faculty development.
• Strong understanding of AI-enabled learning and Learning Management Systems.
