Ltd., a startup incubated in the Ideation Innovation & Incubation (I-3) Foundation (I3F, IIT BHU) incubation center, We have also collaboration with CSIR-CECRI, so that we are at the forefront of Aluminum-ion battery (AIB) innovation. In collaboration with industry leaders like Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) & National research development council (NRDC), we are revolutionizing the energy storage sector with sustainable, high-performance Next-Generation solutions.

Role Description

This is an on-site Volunteer Scientist (R&D) role based in Varanasi. The individual will be involved in the research and development of Aluminium-ion battery technology, focusing on material synthesis, characterization, and performance optimization. Selected Candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our R&D efforts. We are seeking a Volunteer Scientist to drive our R&D efforts in designing, synthesis, fabricating, and optimizing Aluminum-ion batteries. This role focuses on material design, electrolyte synthesis, and cell development to enable groundbreaking advancements in energy storage.

Preffered Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge and experience in material synthesis and characterization techniques for battery technologies.
• Skills in analytical methods, data analysis, and laboratory experimentation.
• Hands on experience of innovative aqueous and ionic liquid electrolytes with exceptional ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability.
• Knowlege of Gel-Polymer, Eutectic & non-aqueous electrolyte formulations to improve safety and performance.
• Expertise on SEI layer stabilization, dendrite suppression, and electrolyte-component compatibility.
• Design and fabricate coin, pouch, cylindrical, and prismatic cells for rigorous testing.
• Utilize cutting-edge techniques (e.g. XRD, SEM, FTIR) to analyze materials, electrolytes, and interfacial interactions.
• Investigate degradation mechanisms to improve battery longevity and reliability.
• Ability to contribute to scientific research, technical documentation, and innovative problem-solving

What You Bring:

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrochemistry, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related fields.
• Proven expertise in Metal-ion or -ion battery Electrode materials, Aqueous or ionic liquid electrolytes, and battery cell fabrication and testing.
• Hands-on experience with advanced electrochemical testing techniques and material characterization methods.
• Strong understanding of thermal management, dendrite mitigation, and SEI layer engineering.
• A track record of publications, patents, and contributions to the field of Ion Battery technology.
