Job Title - VOIP Support Engineer

Job Location - Mumbai

Experience : 6 months to 5yrs

The Opportunity :

We at Agami Tech are looking for a highly skilled and motivated VOIP Support Engineer to join

our team. As a VOIP Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support

and troubleshooting assistance to customers using Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP)

technologies. Your primary focus will be resolving customer issues related to VOIP systems,

ensuring a seamless and reliable communication experience. The ideal candidate will have a

strong technical background in networking and telecommunication technologies, excellent

problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities:

● Provide technical support to customers experiencing issues with VOIP systems,

including voice quality, call drops, configuration, and connectivity problems.

● Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by customers through various

channels, such as phone, email, or ticketing systems.

● Collaborate with internal teams, including network engineers, software developers, and

system administrators, to resolve complex issues and escalate problems when

necessary.

● Conduct thorough analysis of network traffic and system logs to identify root causes of

issues and develop appropriate solutions.

● Perform configuration changes, upgrades, and patch installations on VOIP systems to

optimize performance and ensure compatibility with customer environments.

● Develop and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides,

knowledge base articles, and best practices, to assist customers and internal teams.

● Provide training and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders on the proper

usage and configuration of VOIP systems.

● Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to VOIP and

telecommunication to continuously enhance knowledge and skills.

● Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) are a plus.

● Proven experience working as a VOIP Support Engineer or in a similar technical support

role.

● Strong understanding of VOIP technologies and protocols, such as SIP, RTP, H.323, and

TCP/IP.

● Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting VOIP platforms, such as , Asterisk, or

Freeswitch

● In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, routers, switches,

firewalls, and VPN.

● Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark,

SolarWinds, or Nagios.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt

to changing circumstances.

● Strong customer service orientation and the ability to effectively communicate technical

concepts to non-technical users.

● Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

● Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud-based VOIP solutions, such as Amazon Connect, Twilio, or RingCentral.

● Knowledge of session border controllers (SBCs) and their role in VOIP deployments.

● Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Shell, for automation and customization

purposes.

● Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹600,000.00 per year
