Job Description

We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Videographer/Editor to join our hospital digital production team. You will be responsible for organising, shooting & assembling medical documentaries, video footages of treatments, procedures, consultations, corporate portfolios, seminars, occasions and events to achieve the desired promotional and/or educational objectives. You may evaluate project objectives and target audience, operating within program format and content to attain desired goals, and staying within budget, time, and facility limitations and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the Production Director.
You should have expert knowledge of modern video editing techniques, be able to visualize directorial concepts, interacts with writers, graphic designers, production crews, and other participants involved in multiple productions. You will work with a variety of people, including hospital administrators, doctors, nurses, patients & relatives as well as other staff & related project participants.You will report to the Director or the Head of the digital production team.

Responsibilities:

  • Promotes a positive image of the hospital through the creation of video & audio content and through professional appearance, actions and interaction with project participants.
  • Exercises creative and technical decision-making during the production of single- and multi-camera presentations by analysing projects for artistic, technical, time, material, and budgeting requirements, planning and scheduling productions, and determining equipment, crew and location needs.
  • Exercises creative decision-making while assembling single and multi-camera presentations of recorded video and audio segments into a completed technically and aesthetically effective presentation.
  • Facilitates the production of video presentations by participating in the construction or modification of sets for studio productions, selecting and lighting suitable settings for location productions, setting up, troubleshooting, and operating video equipment or assisting with the staging and presentation of productions on and off campus.
  • Facilitates an efficient office operation by assisting with maintaining files of tapes, graphics, and special effects, keeping records of expenses, supplies, and other associated costs and providing required reports of production costs and inventories as directed.
  • Ensures the operational condition of departmental equipment by performing repairs, set-ups and preventive maintenance as appropriate.
  • Helps to ensure that production equipment is technologically up-to-date and meets the needs of the department by researching, evaluating, and recommending equipment purchases.
  • Meeting with the Director & production team to determine video projects, ideas, script, pre & post production vision.
  • Understanding & manipulating video requirements based on hospitals services, management, interviews and any other related affairs.
  • Understanding and manipulating case studies/documentaries related to patient treatments, procedures, discharge, interviews or testimonies.
  • Consulting with the Director, production & marketing team throughout the project.
  • Contributes to the overall success of the project by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography or related field.
  • At least one year of responsible experience in the electronic media production field is required, and must include knowledge of the principles, techniques, and equipment involved in electronic media productions and familiarity with videotaping styles, formats, and editing techniques.
  • Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs including Davinci Resolve (preferred), Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects and Audition.
  • Ability to handle and operate related equipment like DSLR, Mirrorless cameras, Drones, Audio recorders & mics, Stands and gimbals, Lighting kits, etc.
  • Ability and comfortability to work with videos like medical management, treatments, procedures, consultations, seminars, corporate portfolios, promotional projects, occasions & events.
  • Creative and innovative skills needed to meet artistic, technical and practical production challenges are required. Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills are required. Effective organizational abilities & the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
  • The scope of job requires attendance of daily activities. Occasional travel for production projects, workshops, seminars and hospital events is required.
  • Brief knowledge of computers, components or editing builds.
  • Ability of research & development for medical related documentaries or videos.
  • Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.
  • Languages to be known mainly: English, Hindi
