Role Purpose

The Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer will be responsible for producing high-quality video content, animations, and AI-enhanced visuals for marketing, educational, and promotional use. This role requires expertise in editing, motion graphics, and the ability to leverage AI tools to improve speed, creativity, and output quality. The Editor will collaborate closely with content, design, and marketing teams to deliver platform-optimized content for Reels, Shorts, YouTube, presentations, and advertisements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit raw footage into polished videos for social media, advertisements, events, and campaigns.
  • Apply color correction, audio balancing, transitions, and subtitles.
  • Deliver vertical, horizontal, and square-format videos optimized for different platforms.
  • Maintain storytelling quality, clarity, and consistency across all edits.

2. Motion Graphics & Animation

  • Design explainer videos, animated educational content and logo animations
  • Create custom motion graphics, animated titles, lower thirds, and infographic animations.
  • Use After Effects, Blender, or similar tools to develop visually impactful motion elements.
  • Collaborate with the content and design teams to bring concepts to life through animation.

3. Creative Development

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for creative video concepts.
  • Suggest trends, transitions, effects, and animation styles that improve content performance.
  • Develop visual narrative ideas for brand stories, reels, and marketing campaigns.

4. Asset Management & File Organization

  • Manage and organize project files, templates, footage, and graphics.
  • Maintain a digital library of video elements, soundtracks, and motion templates.
  • Ensure proper version control and backup management.

5. Collaboration & On-Ground Support

  • Coordinate with videographers and content creators during shoots when required.
  • Support live events with real-time edits, recap videos, and rapid content delivery.
  • Work closely with designers to integrate motion graphics with static creatives.

6. Quality Control & Timely Delivery

  • Ensure every video meets brand standards and quality expectations.
  • Conduct final checks on audio, color, graphics, and text accuracy.
  • Deliver all edits within assigned timelines, even during tight campaign windows.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Editing Output – Number of videos and animations delivered monthly.
  • Quality Score – Evaluation from Creative Head/Marketing Manager.
  • Engagement Metrics – Performance of video content on social platforms.
  • Turnaround Time – Efficiency in delivering edits and motion graphics.
  • Innovation – Introduction of new styles, effects, templates, and animation techniques.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve for video editing.
  • Strong expertise in After Effects, Blender, or similar tools for motion graphics.
  • Ability to create 2D animations, kinetic typography, transitions, and animated infographics.
  • Strong knowledge of AI tools for video enhancement, graphics generation, and automation.
  • Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and design aesthetics.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Visual Communication, Film Editing, Media Studies, or related fields
  • 1–3 years of experience in video editing and motion graphics.
  • A strong portfolio with video edits and animated work (mandatory).
