Roobaroo is looking for a Video Editor Intern

What You'll Work On

Reel & Short-Form Video Editing:

• Edit engaging, trend-driven reels and shorts for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Threads

• Incorporate

  trending audio, styles, captions, and pacing

  to boost engagement
• Repurpose long-form content into snackable, viral-ready video formats

Growth-Focused Video Production:

• Constantly track viral formats and edit videos with a focus on shares, saves, and retention

• Use creative storytelling, caption overlays, emoji use, and punchy edits to drive

  platform algorithm engagement

AI Tools for Video Editing:

• Use AI tools like Runway, Pika Labs, Descript, HeyGen, VO.AI, Google AI Studio

  for:
• Automated editing and enhancements
• AI-generated voiceovers and animations
• Speeding up video production pipelines
• Blend AI capabilities with manual editing using

  CapCut, VN, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Pro

Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancements:

• Add motion graphics, text effects, and visual storytelling elements to enhance educational and promotional videos

Content Optimization:

• Optimize videos for specific platforms (aspect ratios, thumbnails, captions)

• Experiment with new video styles, editing trends, and growth hacks to improve video performance

Who We’re Looking For

1. Proficiency in

   video editing software

   like CapCut, VN, or Adobe Premiere Pro

2. MANDATORY

   : Hands-on experience with AI tools for content creation, visuals, videos, and automations (Veo, MidJourney, Runway, Google AI Studio, Canva AI, VO.AI, Pika Labs, Descript, etc.)
3. Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and social media trends
4. Deep understanding of what makes a reel/video

   go viral

   —from trending audios to caption overlays
5. Trending content formats, viral post patterns, and social media algorithms
6. Obsessed with

   growth metrics, reach, engagement, shares, saves

7. Strong written communication and visual storytelling skills
8. Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work with quick turnaround times

Bonus if you have:

1. Existing influencer/creator network for collabs
2. Knowledge of automation platforms (Zapier, Make, Airtable)
3. Experience creating videos in the edtech, wellness, or personal growth space
4. Personal experience running a content page or personal brand
