Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptional Video Editor & Storyteller to join the core team for the YouTube channel of celebrated Bollywood playback singer and creativity expert, Chandana Dixit. This is a pivotal role for a creative professional with a background in cinema or high-end media. We aren't just looking for an editor; we are looking for a true storyteller who can transform raw, multi-camera podcast recordings into cinematic and compelling narratives. You will be responsible for crafting video content that not only meets excellent production standards but also understands the nuances of audience psychology, preserves the authentic essence of the conversation, and is worthy of the esteemed "Chandana Dixit" brand. In this role, you will not only shape the final product in post-production but also assist during the recording process, leveraging your technical expertise with professional camera equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Cinematic Storytelling 🎬

Lead the entire post-production process for the "Creative Dialogues" podcast, editing full-length episodes and creating high-impact short-form content (Reels, Shorts, Promos). Weave a compelling narrative from hours of footage, identifying the most powerful moments, structuring the story with masterful pacing, and enhancing emotional beats.

Technical Excellence ✨

Perform advanced color grading to achieve a consistent, professional, and cinematic look.

Execute intricate sound design, audio mixing, and mastering to ensure broadcast-quality audio.

Integrate subtle motion graphics, titles, and B-roll to elevate the viewing experience.

On-Set Collaboration 🎥

Collaborate on-set during podcast recordings, providing technical support and ensuring the highest quality footage is captured. Utilize your working knowledge of Sony Mark III or Alpha series cameras to assist with camera setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

Brand Integrity

• Develop a deep understanding of the Chandana Dixit brand and ensure every piece of content is perfectly aligned with its tone, quality, and core message.
• Work closely with the in-house team to maintain a cohesive and premium visual identity for the channel.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in cinema, advertising, or high-end digital media.

A powerful showreel is mandatory. It must demonstrate exceptional storytelling, advanced editing techniques (including color and sound), and a strong sense of pacing and narrative.

• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and a strong command of DaVinci Resolve for color grading.

A deep, innate understanding of storytelling principles, pacing, and creating emotional arcs.

Hands-on experience with Sony Alpha series cameras (e.g., A7S III) is required.

Meticulous attention to detail, from the macro story structure down to the single frame.

Nice to Have

Advanced skills in Adobe After Effects for creating sophisticated motion graphics and titles.

Experience with professional audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition).

A strong understanding of YouTube analytics, audience retention metrics, and content strategy.

A background in or a deep appreciation for music and the performing arts.
