Position: Vice Principal

Location: Banyan Tree School, Lodhi Road, New Delhi

Type: Full-time, On-campus


Overview

Banyantree School is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice Principal to support the Principal in providing academic leadership, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment. The Vice Principal will play a vital role in driving the school’s vision of holistic education, academic rigor, and overall student well-being.


Key Responsibilities


Academic Leadership

  • Oversee the effective implementation of the curriculum across all grades.
  • Guide and mentor teachers to enhance instructional practices and pedagogy
  • Monitor lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and classroom management.
  • Ensure the quality of academic programs, assessments, and learning outcomes.
  • Facilitate board classes and ensure high academic performance in CBSE examinations.


School Operations & Administration

  • Support the Principal in managing day-to-day school operations.
  • Oversee staff deployment, scheduling, and substitute arrangements.
  • Ensure adherence to school policies, procedures, and compliance with CBSE guidelines.
  • Coordinate with departments to streamline academic and co-curricular activities.


Teacher Development & Evaluation

  • Conduct classroom observations, review Teacher’s Diaries, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Organize professional development workshops, training sessions, and mentoring programs.
  • Assist in recruitment, induction, and appraisal of teachers.


Student Development & Discipline

  • Promote student discipline, attendance, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Guidance and Learning Support Centre for student support needs.
  • Encourage participation in sports, co-curricular activities, and inter-school competitions.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong communication channels with parents, staff, and students.
  • Represent the school in academic events, inspections, and external forums.
  • Work closely with the Principal to implement school improvement initiatives.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate degree with B.Ed.
  • Minimum 10–12 years of teaching experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of CBSE curriculum and educational best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
