Job Description

As the Head / VP of Business Development, you will play a crucial role in leading the business development efforts of our client, the venture capital arm of a distinguished global financial services firm. Your responsibilities will include team leadership and management, outbound strategy and execution, deal sourcing and qualification, reporting and analysis, and collaboration with key stakeholders. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and training a high-performing team of Investment Development Associates. Establishing clear performance goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and activity metrics will be essential. Monitoring team performance, providing feedback, and fostering a positive and collaborative team environment will also be part of your role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Recruit, onboard, and rigorously train a high-performing team of Investment Development Associates. - Establish clear performance goals, KPIs, and activity metrics. - Implement systems to monitor team performance and provide feedback. - Develop innovative outbound calling strategies and crafted scripts. - Oversee daily outbound calling activities and optimize outbound marketing tools. - Maintain a thorough understanding of the firm's investment thesis and lead qualification processes. - Track and analyze key performance indicators related to outbound activities and lead generation. - Foster strong relationships with the investment team and key stakeholders. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. - Demonstrated success in inside sales, business development, or lead generation. - Experience in managing outbound calling teams. - Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Proactive attitude with a drive to exceed expectations. - Strong written communication skills. In addition to the required qualifications, preferred qualifications include experience selling services using inside sales methodologies and an established network within the startup or venture capital ecosystem.
