Value Engineer

As a Value Engineer at the US Largest Home Improvement Company in Gurgaon, your role will involve utilizing your expertise in various areas such as Should Costing, Product Teardown, Benchmarking, and Business Collaboration. You will play a key role in product costing, manufacturing, and product development, leveraging your 5+ years of experience in the field. Your responsibilities will also include competitor research, product analysis, and data set analysis using basic data science principles. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of scripting languages, with Python being preferred, along with proficiency in MS Office tools and analytical software. Knowledge of Boothroyd Dewhurst DFM/DFMA costing software is a plus, as well as familiarity with materials like metal, plastics, ceramic, glass, wood, and textiles. An understanding of manufacturing processes, cost calculations, and Bills of Materials will be crucial for success in this role. Experience with vertically integrated manufacturers or consumer product suppliers is desirable, and knowledge of PCB manufacturing will be an added advantage. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. - 5+ years of experience in product costing, manufacturing, or product development. - Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Python. - Experience with MS Office applications and analytical tools. - Knowledge of Boothroyd Dewhurst DFM/DFMA costing software is preferred. - Familiarity with materials such as metal, plastics, ceramic, glass, wood, and textiles. - Understanding of manufacturing processes and cost calculations. - Knowledge of PCB manufacturing is a plus. - Understanding of Bills of Materials.
