Job Mission

Lead our user research initiatives to drive a frictionless and high-converting user experience. Your mission is to directly impact our business by uncovering key user insights and translating them into actionable, data-driven strategies that reduce friction in the booking journey, increase conversions, and drive user retention. You will be the voice of the user, ensuring every decision is informed by deep customer understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive User-Centric Growth:

  Conduct end-to-end user research using a variety of methods (interviews, surveys, usability studies) to deeply understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points, with a focus on issues that directly impact service bookings and overall experience.

• Translate Insights into Business Impact:

  Synthesize complex data and user conversations into structured, actionable insights. Your research reports must directly highlight opportunities to improve key business metrics, such as app conversion rates, booking success, and customer retention.

• Strategic Collaboration:

  Work as a core partner with Product Managers, Operations, Tech, and Marketing teams. You will act as the voice of the user in all decision-making forums, ensuring research insights directly influence strategy and execution.

• Lead & Mentor:

  Mentor and manage a team of user research associates. Define and implement robust research processes, frameworks, and standards to ensure consistent, high-quality, and scalable insights.

• Report on Measurable Outcomes:

  Create clear, insightful reports and presentations that distinctly showcase the impact of research on conversion rates, churn reduction, and other key business metrics.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience:

  You have

  1-2 years

  of professional experience in user research, UX research, or consumer insights.

• Industry Preference

  :

  You have a proven track record at a leading consumer tech or hyperlocal company like

  Swiggy, Zomato, Urban Company, or Go-Mechanic

  , with a background that may include a relevant internship at a similar company.

• Business Impact (Mandatory

  ):

  You must have a proven history of using research to directly contribute to key business metrics, such as a

  15-20% reduction in customer friction

  or a

  10% increase in booking completion rates

  .

• Research Expertise:

  You are an expert in a wide range of user research methodologies, including user interviews, surveys, and usability studies.

• Data Acumen:

  You have a strong understanding of

  data analytics

  and can use it to inform your research and validate findings.

• Portfolio (Mandatory):

  A portfolio is required, showcasing a case study where your research insights led to a measurable positive impact on a product or business.

• Communication:

  You have excellent communication skills, articulating research findings and their business value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
