We're Inbo - a bootstrapped venture from THAtha Business Development LLP & Quokka For Good LLC (proven digital experts who've worked with 500+ organizations). Our React Native app is live with real users, and we're building v2 with AI recommendations.

You won’t just design screens. You’ll shape how people feel when they open Inbo — from the first impression to the reading rituals they form every day.

We’re looking for someone to co-design the product, not just the pixels.

Someone who will think:

• “How should reading feel on a phone?”
• “How do we balance content density with calm design?”
• “How does AI show up gently, without stealing focus?”
• “What’s a streak or highlight system that motivates, not overwhelms?”

You’ll be designing mobile-first, yes, but also reader-first.

What You’ll Work On

• Mobile-first UI/UX

  : Design core screens like Inbox, Reader, Highlights, and Discovery

• Microinteractions

  : Create small moments of delight — from streaks to swipes

• AI Features

  : Visualize summaries, reading insights, and smart actions

• Dark Mode & Typography

  : Craft a cozy, long-form reading experience

• Touch-first UX

  : Swipe gestures, bottom navigation, one-handed reading

• Onboarding & First Use

  : Help users fall in love from the first tap

• User Analytics & Feedback Loops

  : Design ways to show and collect insights

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Portfolio that includes 

  mobile app design

   (especially reading or productivity apps)
• A designer who’s shipped at least one mobile app or MVP
• Strong visual and UX skills (Figma is your sketchpad)
• Systems thinking — you design flows, not just screens
• Sensitivity to content-driven design (you care about whitespace, legibility, and flow)
• Self-driven, proactive, and open to feedback
• Bonus: experience designing reading tools, productivity apps, or slow-tech products

What You'll Design

• The core mobile app: inbox → reader → discovery → highlights
• AI summaries, reading insights, and intelligent prompts
• Onboarding, streak flows, pro experiences
• Highlight tools, note systems, save/share flows
• Visual themes (dark/light), font size control, mobile typographic system
• Subscription management, gesture-based UX, mobile-only interactions
• First-use flows, empty states, and thoughtful nudges

• Designing for a 

  productivity user
