US HR & Payroll Specialist

Autism Center of Excellence is seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Specialist who has hands-on experience managing US payroll, HR compliance, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have previously worked with a US company and is comfortable handling multi-state payroll, onboarding, and HR documentation independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for US W-2 employees and 1099 contractors.
• Manage onboarding paperwork, including W-4, I-9, direct deposit details, and all required new-hire documentation.
• Oversee end-to-end onboarding and offboarding for US employees.
• Maintain accurate HR and payroll records while ensuring adherence to federal and state compliance requirements.
• Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k) programs.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile payroll reports, tax documents, and supporting summaries.
• Assist with performance management cycles, policy revisions, and internal HR communications.
• Provide HR reports and support management during compliance checks and audits.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR and payroll for US-based companies (mandatory).
• Knowledge of US payroll laws, taxes, and compliance across multiple states.
• Experience using Gusto Payroll, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of W-2 and 1099 classifications.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working US business hours (EST).
• Proficient in Google Workspace / Excel / HRIS tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, billing, or technology sectors.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and employee compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
