About the Company



About the Role



Responsibilities



  • Reviewing various accounting functions on US clients’ files including detailed analysis of the balance sheet and income statement.
  • Reviewing workpapers, accounting schedules and management reports prepared by the Staff per clients’ needs as part of month-end closing procedures.
  • Taking a lead on projects like accounting clean-up, books rebuild, software migration, account adjustments as required, furnishing information to other departments as may be necessary.
  • Reviewing work of Staff and providing constructive feedback.
  • Learning new software and developing new technological skills required to perform accounting and financial reporting, as needed.
  • Planning and managing Staff’s work schedules.
  • Helping Staff to develop their technical and professional skills through proper guidance.
  • Adhering to deadlines of the tasks assigned and keeping the Partner updated on the progress.
  • Self-reviewing work for accuracy and completeness to ensure quality product before submitting to the Partner.
  • Preparation/review of SOP for the task assigned and updating the same on regular intervals.
  • Adhering to internal policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Work with both India-based and US-based staff on an ongoing basis to collaborate on performing transactional, technical & reporting activities.


Qualifications



  • Chartered Accountant/CPA with 6+ years of experience OR Masters with 8+ years of experience in US accounting.
  • Experience reviewing technical accounting matters and period-end close documentation.
  • Strong conceptual accounting knowledge with sound ability on application of US GAAP.
  • Tech savvy and familiar with a range of software/applications like Excel, Word, QBO, Xero, SAGE, NetSuite, Yardi etc.
  • Strong financial analysis, modeling, and valuation skills.
  • Have strong qualitative and quantitative research and analytical abilities.

  • Have strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead a team of up to 10 people.
  • Be a self-starter, highly collaborative, creative, outgoing.
  • Possess excellent work ethic.
