US Accountant - Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead for our US Accounting firm Bookkeeperlive with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles. In this role, you will be responsible for reconciling accounts, maintaining the general ledger, coordinating with the clients and managing month-end close procedures. You will also analyze financial reports, forecasts, and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyses liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and necessary documentation.
• Summarize and generate financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and other critical financial documents.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while staying updated on new and existing legislation.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to accountants by answering queries and conducting training sessions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) required. Candidates with Inter-CA or postgraduate qualifications will be given preference.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in intercompany transactions and reconciliations for audit preparation.
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with US accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, Zoho, etc.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to supervise and mentor up to 5 junior accountants.
• Compliance & Security: Strong understanding of financial application security to ensure data confidentiality and compliance.
• Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general Accounting Applications.
