US Accountant - Team Lead

Job Title: Team Lead Accounting (US Accounting | QBO • Acumatica • Aspire)

About the Role You will lead a team handling day-to-day accounting for US clients, with heavy usage of QuickBooks Online, Acumatica, and Aspire. The expectation is simple: you own output quality, timelines, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team performing AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, job costing, month-end close, and reporting.

• Review transactions, reconciliations, invoices, and financials across QBO, Acumatica, and Aspire for accuracy and completeness before submitting it to client.

• Ensure the team follows the correct workflows between systems (QBO Aspire, Acumatica QBO, etc.).

• Oversee job costing, WIP updates, billing workflows, and project-related accounting in Aspire.

• Manage AP/AR cycles in Acumatica/Aspire, including vendor bills, purchase orders, approvals, payments, and reporting.

• Assign tasks, track workloads, and enforce deadlines — zero tolerance for recurring delays.

• Correct errors directly and coach team members to avoid repeating them.

• Document and improve SOPs across all three systems.

• Provide training to new and existing team members on QBO, Acumatica, and Aspire workflows.

• Act as primary escalation point for internal issues.

• Monitor team KPIs (accuracy, timeliness, review notes, rework rate) and improve them consistently.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years in US accounting with at least 1–2 years reviewing or leading a team.

Strong hands-on experience with:

o QuickBooks Online (month-end close, recon, reporting, AR/AP cleanup, budget vs actual)

o Acumatica (bills, POs, payments, approvals, vendor management, reporting)

o Aspire (job costing, invoicing, WIP schedules, project tracking)

• Strong understanding of GAAP, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, revenue recognition, and job costing.

• Ability to identify errors quickly and fix them without hand-holding.

• Strong communication skills with US clients; able to push back or clarify without hesitation.

• Experience handling multi-client workload in a fast-paced offshore model.

Preferred Skills

• QBO ProAdvisor certification.

• Experience building SOPs or training modules for accounting workflows.

• Exposure to Aspire, Bill.com, Dext, Expensify, or project-based accounting environments.
