What You’ll Do

This is not a “make things look pretty” role. You’ll be at the heart of how teachers interact with HeyC translating intelligence and empathy into beautifully intuitive experiences. You will: 

• Own the end-to-end design process for both web and mobile, from concept to high-fidelity handoff. 
• Design for AI-first experiences that feel smart, conversational, and human. 
• Partner closely with product, engineering, and content teams to move fast and build things that matter. 
• Evolve and scale our design system so it supports consistency and creativity. 
• Ground your work in user insights, turning usage data, feedback, and research into thoughtful UX decisions. 
• Prototype, test, iterate, and repeat because “done” is just step one. 
• Show up as a builder and owner. You won’t just design features you’ll shape the product experience. 

Who You Are

• You bring

  5-7 years

  of experience thrive in

  small, fast teams

  where initiative, accountability, and ownership are a way of life. 
• You’re a Figma wizard and have a strong command of modern UI toolkits. You've built and maintained component-based design systems that drive consistency, efficiency, and design excellence at scale. 
• Skilled in mobile and web UI design with a strong understanding of responsive design principles. 
• You’re just as passionate about

  UX strategy

  as you are about clean visuals, journey mapping, user flows, testing, and all the in-betweens. 
• You’re a

  strong communicator

  who can talk through your decisions and rally feedback like a pro. 
• You're data-curious. You love looking into metrics and using insights to drive better design. 

Bonus Points

• Experience with AI interfaces or education/coaching platforms. 
• Comfortable designing for conversational UI or intelligent assistants. 
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices (WCAG). 
• Familiarity with no-code tools or front-end basics.
