Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad for a UAV Pilot / UAV Engineer / Sr. Engineer. The professional in this role will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting UAV systems, conducting flight tests, preparing mission plans, and ensuring compliance with operational protocols. Additional responsibilities include documenting test results, collaborating with the engineering team on system enhancements, and following all safety and regulatory standards.

1. Experience in development and testing of UAV Platform for surveillance & targeting (Internal & External) BVLOS.
2. Expertise in development of Avionic Architecture, performance and analysis of Aircrafts, functional testing of integrated systems & hardware design for verity of projects related to defence sector.
3. Process development & Implementation of Flight Data Management Systems (FDMS) to centralize all flight test data.
4. Experience in creating for test flights and circulation of crucial data to all the technical team & other stakeholders.
5. Perform pre-flight & post-flight checks, operational planning, test flights and fixed wings, multi - rotors and FW VTOL platforms.
6. Successfully trained customers on UAV operations of Loitering and Surveillance systems.
7. Preparation of flight plans and carrying out experimental test flights for drones / UAV systems built in-house.
8. Experience in GIS software and flight simulators handling.
9. Knowledge about Aviation subjects (Methodology & Aerodynamics).
10. Preferably DGCA certified RPC holder / NCC-C certificate holder.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years of (internal & External) Pilot experience.
• UAV operation, mission planning, and flight control experience.
• Skills in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of UAV systems.
• Knowledge of guidance systems, navigation systems, and communication protocols.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Experience in aerospace or defense domain is a plus.
• Sound knowledge on MS office suite.
• Good verbal & Written communication skills - English & Hindi.
