Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager with a strong background in travel and tourism sales to lead our sales operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling B2B/B2C travel sales, managing client relationships, and driving revenue through travel packages, corporate tie-ups, or experiential tourism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote our travel and tourism offerings.
  • Identify new business opportunities in the travel domain (corporates, schools, tourism boards, event partners, etc.).
  • Build strong relationships with travel agents, vendors, channel partners, and clients.
  • Handle lead generation, conversion, and post-sales client servicing.
  • Conduct sales presentations, participate in travel expos, and close deals effectively.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for promotional campaigns, packages, and seasonal offers.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and target tracking dashboards.
  • Manage a sales team (if applicable), set targets, and monitor performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and changing customer preferences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Travel & Tourism, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in travel or tourism sales.
  • Strong understanding of travel packages, itineraries, logistics, and client servicing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, and report generation.
  • Willingness to travel as required for sales meetings or client visits.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in experiential travel, educational tours, or astronomy-related tourism will be an added advantage.
  • Existing network in schools, corporate travel desks, or travel agencies.
  • Ability to sell premium or niche travel experiences to different audience segments.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Monthly/quarterly sales targets met or exceeded
  • Client acquisition and retention rates
  • Revenue generated through new and existing channels
  • Sales team performance (if applicable)
  • Lead-to-conversion ratio
