Transportation Supervisor

Role Overview: As a Transportation Supervisor in Chandigarh, your main responsibilities will include scheduling transportation services, planning routes, negotiating with All India Transporters for favorable freight rates, and maintaining strong relationships with them. You will be in charge of generating E-way Bills, managing documentation, and ensuring transportation operations stay within budget while maintaining efficiency. Additionally, you will process transportation documentation, follow up with drivers for necessary documents, and work on developing, implementing, and improving transportation policies and procedures. Your role will also involve liaising between management, drivers, and customers, as well as collaborating with internal departments to optimize transportation services. Key Responsibilities: - Schedule transportation services and plan routes effectively. - Negotiate with All India Transporters to secure competitive freight rates. - Generate E-way Bills and ensure proper documentation formats are maintained. - Keep transportation operations within budget while maintaining efficiency. - Process transportation documentation and follow up with drivers for weighing receipts and other necessary documents. - Develop, implement, and improve transportation policies and procedures. - Liaise between management, drivers, and customers. - Collaborate with internal departments to optimize transportation services. Qualification & Skills Required: - Experience in supervising loading and offloading of goods. - Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with transporters all over India. - Ability to analyze transporter services and maintain a database of transporters. - Proficiency in generating reports and maintaining MIS for management's review.
