Role Overview The Account cum Commercial Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing, coordinating payment collections, managing vendor payments, and maintaining smooth financial operations. The role demands a solid background in accounting and commercial management within the transportation or logistics industry. Key Responsibilities Ensure vendor contracts, fixing best price and timely payment. Ensure accurate billing measurements based on freight movement and trip records. Generate and dispatch invoices in a timely manner to clients. Follow up with clients for pending payments and resolve discrepancies if any. Coordinate with internal teams for data validation related to billing and expenses. Track and process vendor payments accurately and within agreed timelines. Maintain up-to-date records of accounts receivable and payable. Assist in monthly closing activities and reconciliation of transport-related transactions. Support audits, financial reviews, and compliance checks related to commercial operations. Liaise with transport managers, operations, and vendors for financial coordination. Prepare MIS reports and summaries for management decision-making. Key Requirements Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting and commercial operations, preferably in transportation/logistics, with minimum of 2 years experience in handling fly ash transportation commercials. Strong understanding of billing, vendor payment processing, and financial documentation. Hands-on experience with Tally, MS Excel, and basic ERP/accounting tools. Good communication and follow-up skills with clients and vendors. Detail-oriented and capable of managing high transaction volumes. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance and Audits. MBA in Finance or related field is a plus but not mandatory.
