Transport & Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee

  inbound and outbound transport operations

  , ensuring timely movement of goods between farmers, collection centers, and processing/distribution hubs.

• Identify, evaluate, and forge partnerships

  with local transporters, rural aggregators, and national carriers to build a scalable logistics network.
• Develop and execute

  cost-optimization strategies

  tailored to the challenges of rural sourcing and distribution.
• Manage

  rural pickup operations

  , ensuring smooth coordination from farm-gate to collection centers.
• Monitor logistics performance metrics (delivery timelines, utilization, cost per ton/km) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Negotiate transport rates and contracts to balance cost, reliability, and service quality.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, operations, and tech teams to enhance logistics visibility and efficiency through digital tools and platforms.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in

  Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field

  (MBA preferred).

• 8 - 10 years of experience

  managing transport and logistics operations, ideally in

  agriculture, agritech, FMCG, or rural supply chains

• Proven experience working with

  rural aggregators, transporters, and national logistics partners

• Strong understanding of

  rural infrastructure challenges

  and ability to design efficient, practical logistics solutions.
