Job Description

Role & responsibilities The position involves end to end responsibility including hiring, business set-up, farmer & buyer onboarding and execution while ensuring timely payments. Originate and engage farmers & local partners for a range of AgriGate products & services primarily providing market access for their agricultural produce. Originate and engage buyers for a wide range of agricultural produce both non-perishables (grains, pulses, oilseeds) and perishables (fruits & vegetables). Work closely with the sales & fulfilment team to ensure alignment on quality parameters and pricing of sourcing & selling. Ensure full digitization of transaction & engagement. Ensure adherence of payment terms with buyers. Own governance of buyers & local partners including appropriate documentation and adherence to credit terms. Leverage his network to bring in partners that can help scale our buyer & farmer base. Develop & maintain strong relationship with stakeholders within and outside the organization. Preferred candidate profile 5+ years of relevant work experience, primarily in dealing with agricultural produce. Solution orientation and strong problem-solving skills. Work with high sense of ownership in a fast-paced environment. Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams. Strong communication & negotiation skills. Ability to work both independently and with teams. Should be willing to travel extensively.
