Reports to: Partner, Transport, Maritime, and Logistics Practice

Job Summary:

Forvis Mazars is seeking a dynamic professional for the position of Manager to lead and deliver consulting services in the Transport and Logistics (T&L) vertical
The vertical is growing at a rapid paceThe successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to drive growth in the practice, manage key client relationships, and deliver complex consulting engagements focused on transport infrastructure, logistics optimization, supply chain, and related projectsThe role requires a blend of strategic insight, client management, project delivery expertise, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management & Delivery:

• Lead consulting projects in transport, logistics, and supply chain sectors from inception to completion.
• Oversee project scoping, timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
  The candidate should be hands on to ensure that deliverables are highly quality .
• Drive improvements in operational efficiencies, logistics management, and cost reduction for clients.

2. Client Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including government bodies, private sector companies, and industry stakeholders.
• Identify client needs and present tailored solutions in transport infrastructure, multi-modal logistics, freight forwarding, and warehousing.
• Manage client communications, reporting, and presentations at all stages of the project lifecycle.

3. Business Development:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the T&L industry, responding to RFPs and preparing proposals for the clients.
• Collaborate with the BD team to scan the market for trends, potential projects, and networking opportunities to drive revenue growth.
• Lead client pitches and proposal development for consulting projects across various transport and logistics subsectors.

4. Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members within the practice.
• Allocate work and ensure the team delivers high-quality insights and reports in timely manner
• Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.

5. Sector Expertise & Thought Leadership:

• Stay updated on trends and innovations in transport, maritime, logistics, and supply chain sectors, contributing to industry white papers, webinars and presentations
• Act as a subject matter expert in multi-modal logistics, transport infrastructure, and emerging technologies within the logistics sector.
• Build a personal and organisational brand as a leading force in the T&L sector.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or PG in economics as major
• Minimum 5 years of experience
• Proven track record of delivering high impact modules or projects
• Strong analytical skills
• Willing to learn skills to develop client relationship and business development capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of government policies, regulatory requirements, and trends impacting the transport and logistics sector in India.
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Experience working on multi-modal logistics parks (MMLPs), port infrastructure, and warehousing solutions will be a plus.
• Ability to handle 2-3 projects simultaneously in a fast-paced consulting environment.
