Job Summary

The Transport Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end transportation operations for employees, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective movement. The role involves vendor management, route planning, compliance with statutory requirements, team supervision, and continuous improvement of transport services at the ESPL location.

Key Responsibilities

Transport Operations

Manage daily employee transportation operations, including pick-up and drop services.
Plan, optimize, and monitor transport routes to ensure efficiency and cost control.
Handle roster planning, vehicle deployment, and real-time issue resolution.
Ensure adherence to SLAs and service quality standards.

Vendor & Fleet Management

Coordinate with transport vendors and ensure availability of vehicles as per requirement.
Verify vehicle documents, fitness certificates, insurance, permits, and pollution certificates.
Conduct periodic audits of vehicles and drivers for compliance and quality.
Negotiate vendor rates and support contract renewals.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with statutory, labor, and safety norms related to employee transportation.
Implement safety protocols, especially for women employee transportation (night shift compliance).
Conduct driver background verification and regular safety briefings.
Handle incident reporting, escalations, and corrective actions.
