Description

We are seeking an experienced Transformer Design Manager (Electrical) to lead our transformer design team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record in transformer design and development.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of electrical transformers from concept through to production.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance and safety standards.
Conduct technical reviews and provide guidance to junior engineers in the design process.
Analyze and validate transformer designs through simulations and testing.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in transformer design.
Prepare and present design documentation and specifications for internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
10-20 years of experience in transformer design and development.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of electrical principles and transformer operation.
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools and electromagnetic simulation software.
Excellent project management skills and ability to lead a team.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
