The Centre serves as an epitome of Vocational training. It has been recognized globally with features such as a State-of-the-art campus and modern Labs and classrooms fully equipped with essential equipments necessary for creating a nurturing environment. It has been serving for more than a decade as a stronghold for the underprivileged and marginalized youths who remain deprived of mainstream education and the opportunity to succeed in life.

Job summary

The Trainer – Functional English will be responsible for delivering high-quality English communication training to trainees to enhance their employability skills. The trainer will design and conduct engaging sessions focused on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, workplace communication, interview readiness, and soft skills. The role requires both classroom training and continuous assessment of learners' progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Delivery

  • Conduct Functional English classes for trainees as per the prescribed curriculum and training plan.
  • Teach basic to intermediate English communication skills including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, sentence formation, and spoken English.
  • Facilitate sessions on workplace communication, email writing, telephonic etiquette, customer interaction, and interview communication.
  • Use activity-based and learner-centric teaching methods (role plays, group discussions, presentations, interactive tasks).

Curriculum & Training Material

  • Develop lesson plans, training aids, worksheets, and practice material to support learning.
  • Modify training content to suit diverse learner levels and backgrounds.

Assessment & Reporting

  • Assess trainees periodically through tests, assignments, presentations, and practical exercises.
  • Maintain attendance records, training reports, and trainee progress documentation.
  • Share training performance and progress updates with the center coordinator.

Learner Support & Guidance

  • Provide individual coaching to trainees needing additional help.
  • Motivate and mentor trainees to build confidence in communication.
  • Prepare trainees for interviews by practicing mock interviews and real-life communication situations.

Administrative & Coordination

  • Coordinate with center staff for smooth training operations.
  • Participate in reviews, faculty meetings, and capacity-building workshops.
  • Ensure discipline, quality, and effectiveness in the training environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong spoken and written English skills.
  • Ability to conduct interactive and learner-friendly sessions.
  • Good understanding of functional workplace English needs.
  • Proficiency in preparing training material and using digital tools.
  • Patience, empathy, and ability to handle diverse learner groups.

3. Required Qualifications & SkillsEducational Qualifications

  • Graduate in English / Education / Humanities / Social Sciences
  • OR
  • Any graduate with a certification in English training / or proven Excellent English skills
  • Experience
  • Minimum 1–2 years of teaching/training experience in English communication.
  • Experience in vocational training, skill development programs, or youth employment initiatives preferred.
