Could you be the full-time Tooling Engineer in Savli we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical and production expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and innovative teammates.
You'll define specific tooling, oversee its manufacturing, and implement it in production, impacting our commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain), conduct tooling costing, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of writing functional specifications, validating tool designs, and training manufacturing teams on tool usage, but also contribute to continuous improvement actions.
We’ll look to you for:
Identifying tooling needs and evaluating total costs
Writing and getting approval for functional specifications
Participating in the design and validation of tooling
Implementing tooling and performing adjustments as needed
Specifying inspection, handling, and maintenance instructions
Contributing to the Alstom Tooling network and database

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering
Experience or understanding of manufacturing engineering and maintenance
Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools (CATIA, DELMIA, etc.)
Familiarity with Quality, EHS standards, and Ergonomics
An IGTR certification is preferred.
Effective communication and a team player mindset
Logical organization and self-motivation
