Role Overview

Creative and Trend-Savvy Textile Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original and trend-aligned designs for embroidery, prints (both digital and screen), jacquards, and woven textiles
• Research and interpret emerging textile and design trends from European and American home markets
• Create artwork and technical design files using software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDraw
• Collaborate with product development and merchandising teams to translate designs into physical samples
• Prepare print-ready files for screen printing and coordinate with printing/production teams
• Innovate with textures, colors, and materials while ensuring feasibility in production
• Maintain a library of references, mood boards, and seasonal inspiration boards
• Stay updated on global textile fairs, forecasting reports, and retail movements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, Fashion/Textile Technology, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in home or fashion textile design (export industry experience is a plus)
• A portfolio showcasing a strong command of textile prints, weaves, and embroidery work
• Ability to analyze and present trends with mood boards and design stories
