Textile Designer

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, an understanding of fabric properties, and proficiency in design software. This role involves creating innovative textile patterns and materials for various applications, including fashion, interiors, and other industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Development: Create original patterns, textures, and prints for fabrics, ensuring they align with the brand or client’s needs and trends.
• Fabric Selection: Choose appropriate fabrics and materials based on design specifications, functionality, and market trends.
• Trend Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in colour, material, and pattern design for various sectors (fashion, interior design, etc.).
• Prototyping and Sampling: Work with textile team to produce fabric samples and prototypes, ensuring the final product meets design specifications.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with other teams such as product development, marketing to ensure design implementation meets the intended vision and quality standards.
• Quality Control: Ensure the design is feasible to produce, and work with the team to ensure the print or pattern works effectively on the chosen textile.
• Client Interaction: Present design concepts and samples to clients, adjusting designs based on feedback and project requirements.
• Sustainability: Consider environmental impacts when choosing materials and promoting sustainable textile design practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Experience: Experience in textile or surface design, or an internship in a design role within the textile industry is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and textile-specific software (e.g., CAD software like NedGraphics, CorelDRAW, or Procreate).
• Creative Ability: Strong portfolio showcasing creative design work in textiles, with a good understanding of colour theory, pattern creation, and visual aesthetics.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for presenting designs and collaborating with internal teams and clients.
• Sustainability Knowledge (Optional): Knowledge of sustainable fabric sourcing and eco-friendly design practices is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position
• Office-based with occasional visits to production sites or fabric manufacturers.

May require flexibility in working hours depending on deadlines and project

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
