Job Summary:

The Purchase Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing activities for the company. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, placing orders, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials or services. The role involves working closely with the finance, inventory, and production departments to ensure smooth operations and maintain stock levels.

• Procurement and Sourcing:
• Identify and source suppliers for required goods and services.
• Evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and manage supplier relationships.
• Order Management:
• Place purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases to prevent stockouts or excess stock.
• Ensure that the orders meet quality standards and specifications.
• Negotiation:
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Work with suppliers to resolve any issues related to pricing, quality, or delivery delays.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance.
• Keep track of budgets and cost-saving opportunities.
• Supplier Coordination:
• Ensure smooth communication between suppliers and internal teams.
• Handle queries and issues related to product specifications, quality concerns, and deliveries.
• Assess and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Inventory Control:
• Work closely with the inventory team to ensure proper stock levels.
• Assist in maintaining accurate stock records and managing stock discrepancies.
• Compliance:
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant legal and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in Industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of procurement software and MS Office.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain practices.
• Experience in contract management and supplier evaluation.
