Job Responsibilities

1. Sales and Revenue Generation

  • Promote and sell agricultural products such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, farm machinery, and related goods to farmers and retailers/dealers.
  • Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with farmers, dealers, and distributors.
  • Provide technical advice, product demonstrations, and guidance to farmers, ensuring the correct usage of products.

3. Market Development

  • Identify new markets and customers in rural areas to expand the company's reach.
  • Organize and execute promotional activities such as farmer meetings, field days, and trials to enhance product awareness and adoption.

4. Market Intelligence

  • Collect and analyze data on competitors, market trends, and customer preferences.
  • Offer valuable feedback to management for product and service improvements.

5. Field Visits

  • Conduct regular field visits to meet clients, identify challenges, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Perform soil testing or crop health analysis to recommend suitable products to farmers.

6. Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and feedback.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications and Skills

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Diploma holders in sales/marketing with strong agricultural knowledge will also be considered.
  • Freshers with relevant agricultural education are welcome to apply.


Technical Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of agricultural products, farming practices, and local crops.
  • Familiarity with soil types, pest management, and crop cycles.


Sales and Communication Skills

  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Proficiency in local languages to effectively connect with farmers and stakeholders.


Other Skills

  • Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
  • Problem-solving mindset with excellent decision-making ability.
