About this Position
The Territory Sales Engineer is responsible for driving business growth within a specified geographic area by promoting and selling adhesive products to both direct and channel customers. This role combines technical expertise, solution-oriented sales strategies, and customer relationship management to meet and exceed sales targets. The Territory Sales Engineer will work closely with internal teams and customers to deliver high-value adhesive solutions across various industries.
What Youll Do
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of adhesive products, applications, and relevant technologies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers, helping them select the best adhesive solutions for their specific needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and trials to showcase product performance and benefits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements, pain points, and expectations to offer personalized solutions.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and follow-up.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the company.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue growth within the territory.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand market share.
- Collaborate with customers to design and recommend adhesive solutions tailored to their applications and challenges.
- Work closely with R&D and application engineering teams to develop customized solutions when needed.
- Position the company's adhesive products as high-value solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency for customers.
- Support and train channel partners on product knowledge, market positioning, and sales strategies.
- Drive engagement with distributors, dealers, and resellers to ensure consistent brand representation.
- Monitor channel partner performance and provide feedback to optimize sales efforts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market intelligence.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports, including forecasts and performance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and documentation standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Actively participate in training programs, workshops, and conferences to enhance product and industry knowledge.
- Share insights and best practices with the sales team to foster a collaborative learning environment.
What makes you a good fit
- Minimum 4 years of work experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field preferred).
- Proven experience in sales or technical roles within the adhesive or related industries.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel within the designated territory as required.
