Tender, Cost Estimation & Rate Analysis Engineer

As a member of the tendering & estimation team, your role will involve preparing BOQs, rate analysis, tender documentation, and cost estimation for EHV Transmission Line & Substation projects (11kV-400kV). You will closely coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure accurate, competitive bids aligned with market trends and company goals. - Prepare and review BOQs, BOMs, and technical bid documentation. - Support in technical and commercial bid submissions for clients like GETCO, PGCIL, DISCOMs, and private EPC clients. - Ensure compliance with tender terms, conditions, and specifications. - Perform detailed cost estimation of civil, electrical, and structural works for transmission lines and substations. - Conduct rate analysis using SOR, market trends, and internal cost databases. - Benchmark costings against industry standards for competitive pricing. - Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and procurement team to gather updated rates. - Support negotiations with vendors for competitive quotes. - Collaborate with project managers, design, and finance teams for accurate budgeting. - Monitor market fluctuations in materials like steel, cement, conductors, transformers, switchgear, and civil works. - Assess internal factors impacting project costing such as resource availability, equipment utilization, and financial capacity. Qualification Required: - B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of tendering, estimation, and EPC project costing in Transmission & Substation sector. - Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software/tools. - Familiarity with GETCO, PGCIL, and utility company specifications. - Excellent analytical, numerical, and documentation skills. - Strong communication and coordination abilities. - Ability to work under tight timelines with attention to accuracy.
