Techno Commercial

Purpose/Objective

The Techno Commercial role is pivotal in ensuring seamless procurement operations and supply chain management within the Cement business unit. This position focuses on optimizing procurement processes, fostering collaboration between plant teams, suppliers, and headquarters, and driving efficiency in the procurement of critical materials such as PP Bags. The role supports the Adani Group’s broader mission of sustainable growth and operational excellence, aligning with the Cement business unit’s strategic priorities of green energy adoption, innovative product development, and achieving net-zero emissions.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Manage the complete procurement lifecycle for BCCI Kalamboli, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials. - Facilitate close coordination between SIL Plant teams, suppliers, and HO PP Bag teams for Sanghipuram site requirements. - Issue monthly orders and communications to PP Bag suppliers based on SOB received from HO PP Bag teams. - Convert PR to PO for any west cluster plant as allocated by RPH, ensuring accuracy and compliance. - Provide technical guidance and system-related support to PPHs for resolving day-to-day operational issues. - Collaborate with RPH to address and clear any procurement pendencies, ensuring smooth workflow. - Drive supplier relationship management to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost optimization. - Support the Cement business unit’s sustainability goals by integrating green procurement practices and aligning with the unit’s decarbonization initiatives. - Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance procurement efficiency and data-driven decision-making. - Ensure alignment with the Cement business unit’s operational benchmarks and strategic priorities.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications & Experience - Proven expertise in procurement and supply chain management, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. - Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale procurement operations within the Cement or related industries. - Experience in supplier coordination and resolving technical/system-related issues in procurement processes. Educational Background - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. - Preferred: MBA or advanced degree in Operations Management or Procurement. Years & Type of Experience - 10+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, specifically within the Cement or manufacturing industries. - Hands-on experience in managing procurement for large-scale operations and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. Domain Expertise - In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management within the Cement industry. - Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices and green energy initiatives. - Expertise in managing supplier relationships and resolving technical/system-related issues. Digital & Operational Tools - Proficiency in ERP systems for procurement and supply chain management. - Familiarity with digital platforms for supplier management and procurement analytics. - Experience with tools supporting automation and operational efficiency in procurement processes. Leadership Capabilities - Strategic thinking and ability to align procurement operations with business unit goals. - Strong stakeholder engagement skills, fostering collaboration across plant teams, suppliers, and headquarters. - Proven track record of improving procurement efficiency and reducing costs. - Ability to lead and mentor teams, driving operational excellence and innovation.
