The ideal candidate will possess fluency in Japanese and English, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances. This role requires expertise in both interpretation and translation, ensuring accuracy and context are maintained in all communications. Responsibilities: Interpretation: Provide real time translation during meetings, conferences, and events. Facilitate communication between Japanese speaking and non Japanese speaking individuals. Translation: Translate written documents such as emails, reports, articles, and presentations from Japanese to English and vice versa. Ensure the original meaning and context are maintained in translations. Cultural Mediation: Understand and convey cultural nuances to avoid misunderstandings. Respect and uphold the confidentiality and privacy of interpreted information. Specialized Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of industry specific terminology relevant to the field. Utilize dictionaries, glossaries, and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used. Proofreading and Editing: Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials to ensure accuracy and consistency. Mandatory Skills: Fluency in Japanese and English. Proficiency in using Amazon Translate for translation tasks. Excellent listening, speaking, and Presentation Skill. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills: Previous experience in translation and interpretation. Deep understanding of Japanese culture and the culture of the target language. Qualifications: Certification such as the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is often required. 2 5 years of experience in translation and interpretation.
