Jr. Technical Support Engineer
Location: Ahmedabad
Department: IT Support
Reports To: Service Account Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support to end-users, ensuring smooth operation of desktop computers, software, and network systems. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow in the IT support field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop-related issues, including operating system errors, application problems, and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.).
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices.
  • Set up and maintain user accounts, email, and other IT-related services.
  • Assist with software installations, updates, and patches.
  • Support the deployment and setup of new hardware and software systems.
  • Ensure that all systems are running up-to-date antivirus and security software.
  • Manage and maintain asset inventory (hardware and software).
  • Assist with network troubleshooting, ensuring network connectivity issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT policies and procedures.
  • Document all support activities and incidents in the helpdesk system, ensuring accurate records and timely follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with senior support engineers and other IT staff to address complex technical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable.
  • Experience:
  • Fresher
  • Experience with Windows OS, Mac OS, and basic networking is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of desktop hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).
  • Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business applications.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop software and helpdesk tools is an advantage.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Customer-focused with a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
