Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Proposal Writer with a strong understanding of U.S. government contracting processes to join our team. This role involves developing high-quality proposals in response to government RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and other solicitations, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and alignment with client requirements. The ideal candidate has exceptional writing skills, technical expertise and a proven track record in winning government contracts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse government RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and IFBs to determine technical, compliance, and submission requirements.
  • Draft, edit, and finalize technical, management, and past performance sections of proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, and business development leads, to gather information and ensure accuracy.


Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all proposals comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and agency-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough reviews to ensure proposals are professional, accurate, and persuasive.


Proposal Management:

  • Coordinate timelines, deadlines, and deliverables for multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Maintain version control and manage documentation related to proposal submissions.


Research and Analysis:

  • Research government agencies, contracts, and industry trends to tailor proposals to specific requirements and priorities.
  • Analyze competitor strengths and weaknesses to position the company competitively.


Tool Utilization:

  • Use proposal management tools (e.g., SharePoint, GovWin, SAM, GSA eBuy) and templates to streamline the proposal development process.
  • Maintain a database of reusable proposal content and templates.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in proposal writing, preferably for U.S. government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting processes, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific requirements.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and proposal management tools.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with technical writing in IT, engineering, or other specialized fields.
  • Familiarity with GSA schedules, GWACs, MAS, IDIQ, BPA and agency-specific contracting vehicles.
  • APMP certification or equivalent proposal management training.
