Job Summary
As a Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) within the FlexPod solutions Group, you work cross-functionally to create Automation modules, technical content for NetApp FlexPod solutions that are targeted to Customers, Field Technical Teams and Partners. The TME will work closely with Product Management as well as Product and Solutions Engineering on the company's current and future strategies. The Converged Infrastructure solutions group is responsible for building, managing, and launching NetApp’s FlexPod solutions in partnership with Cisco. The role requires onsite presence at NetApp Bangalore 2-4 days a week, collaborating with the team.Job Requirements
- Deep expertise on multi-Hypervisors [VMware, Hyper-V, Red Hat OpenShift, Proxmox]
- Strong working knowledge of operating systems – Red Hat, Ubuntu, Windows etc
- Understanding of data center networking and storage area networking
- Ability to configure infrastructure which includes – Compute/Servers, Networking/Switches & NetApp storage
- Ability to configure databases – SQL server, Oracle on both Bare metal and virtualized environments
- Knowledge of using AI models to accelerate the engineering deliverables
- Work with other Technical marketing engineers to ensure maximum performance, reliability of our deployments and infrastructure
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform is highly desirable
- Work with, consult and influence Engineering teams on new features and software architecture to ensure scalability
- Develop components for deployment automation & packaging
- Identify tasks and areas where automation can be applied to achieve time efficiencies and risk reduction
- Debug and troubleshoot service bottlenecks throughout the converged infrastructure stack
- You will have direct influence on the decisions and outcomes related to solution implementation
- Support product launch activities and assist with Trade shows, Conferences and Technical Sales Training or Channel Partner Training activities
- Respond to customer or field inquiries, assist with Technical RFPs and work with a cross-functional team of PMs, SEs, Engineers as required
Education
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required and is preferred working in enterprise software and IT infrastructure or technical marketin
- A Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, or computer science or related technical discipline
