Job Description

Key Responsibilities of a Technical Architect 


1.⁠ ⁠Business Requirement to Architecture Conversion


Collaborate with business analysts and product owners to understand and validate business and functional requirements.


Translate Business Requirement Documents (BRD) into Software Architecture Documents (SAD) and Technical Design Documents (TDD).


Define high-level system architecture, design patterns, data flow diagrams, and component interactions.


Identify key system modules — patient management, therapy scheduling, assessment tracking, billing, and reporting.



2.⁠ ⁠End-to-End System Architecture & Design


Architect the system on JVM-based technologies (Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, etc.).


Define microservices architecture with scalable APIs for interoperability (HL7/FHIR standards for healthcare integration preferred).


Establish data models for clinical and administrative modules.


Design integrations with external healthcare systems, payment gateways, and third-party APIs.


Ensure adherence to security, compliance (HIPAA, GDPR), and performance standards.



3.⁠ ⁠Technical Leadership & Collaboration


Lead the development team in implementing architecture and coding best practices.


Conduct design and code reviews to ensure architectural consistency and code quality.


Mentor developers and guide module leads through technical challenges.


Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).



4.⁠ ⁠Documentation & Governance


Own and maintain architecture and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.


Prepare detailed design specifications, deployment architecture diagrams, and integration interface contracts.


Participate in architecture governance and change management processes.



5.⁠ ⁠Quality, Scalability & Performance


Define non-functional requirements (NFRs) for system performance, scalability, and reliability.


Ensure the system design supports modularity, fault tolerance, and extensibility.


Implement secure data access and role-based authorization mechanisms.
