Team Supervisor

1. Task Allocation & Process Oversight

• Distribute daily operational tasks related to booking, export, and import functions among team members.
• Monitor task progress to ensure deadlines and SLA commitments are consistently met.
• Escalate issues or exceptions promptly to ensure smooth resolution.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with SOPs, carrier-specific instructions, and documentation standards.

2. Customer Support Oversight

• Supervise the handling of customer inquiries related to cargo shipments, ensuring timely, professional, and accurate responses.
• Ensure accurate communication of shipment details and documentation updates to customers in accordance with process guidelines
• Oversee and ensure proper follow-up on open queries, exceptions, or escalations.

3. Team Support & Coordination

• Provide operational guidance to team members on SOPs and shipping agency processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments and overseas offices to resolve queries and process issues.
• Report team performance, identify delays or bottlenecks, and assist Team Leaders with continuous improvement plans.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelors degree (preferably in Shipping, Logistics, or related discipline).

• Experience:

  5+ years of experience in shipping agency operations with exposure to booking, export and import processes.

• Location:

  Gateway Office Parks, Perungalathur, Chennai

• Shift:

  Open to working in shifts aligned with international time zones, five days per week.

• Skills:

• Strong understanding of container shipping workflows and trade documentation.
• Good communication, leadership, and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency in formal and business email writing.
