Team Lead

As a Senior Research Scientist / Sr. Research Investigator at Syngene International Limited in Hyderabad, your role will involve project planning and execution, supervising subordinates for timely project completion, preparing periodic reports, participating in client updates, troubleshooting project problem areas, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing resource utilization for cost efficiency. You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, holding yourself and your team accountable for safety goals, and reviewing safety metrics regularly. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for project planning and execution - Provide hands-on training on scientific applications, safety, and quality requirements to subordinates - Supervise subordinates for timely project completion - Prepare periodic reports and update project leader - Participate in teleconferences and client updates - Ensure regulatory compliance - Troubleshoot project problem areas - Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency - Ensure team follows defined safety and quality norms Qualifications Required: - Experience: 0-12 years - Demonstrated Capability: Drive the team to achieve productivity metrics and organizational goals - Technical/Functional Skills: - Excellent knowledge of modern synthetic methodology - Expertise in synthetic problem solving/troubleshooting - Strong communication skills for interactions with team and clients - Accurate scientific notebook maintenance and concise report drafting - Managerial Skills: - Handling multiple collaborations effectively - Leading a team of 7-12 FTEs - Working with interdisciplinary teams - Efficient lab management - People management qualities including feedback, performance expectations, coaching, delegation, and accountability - Education: M.Sc/PhD, Ph.D. degree preferred with post-Doctoral research and 2 years of CRO industry experience About Syngene: Syngene is an innovation-led contract research, development, and manufacturing organization offering integrated scientific services from early discovery to commercial supply.
