Team Lead, Production Operations Group (POG)

The Team Lead - Production Operations Group (POG) will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and optimizing the environment readiness operations that support software product delivery. This role ensures that environments (development, staging, production) are stable, scalable, and available for business-critical operations. The Team Lead will manage a team of engineers, coordinate cross-functional dependencies, handle incidents, and drive continuous improvement in environment management practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Team & Task Management
• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the Environment Readiness team.
• Assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure SLAs are met for environment checks and incident handling.
• Mentor and guide team members to improve technical and process efficiency.
• Environment Oversight
• Act as the escalation point for unresolved environment issues.
• Oversee proactive health checks, validations, and monitoring of all critical environments.
• Incident Management
• Ensure clients receive timely (e.g., hourly) updates and that tickets are resolved within defined timeframes (e.g., 4 hours from Time to Create - TTC).
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Process Optimization
• Identify and implement automation and monitoring tools to reduce manual overhead.
• Recommend process improvements and enforce best practices for environment readiness.
• Stakeholder Communication
• Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams (DEV/PSG).
• Provide regular status updates to project managers, delivery leads, and clients as needed.
• Prepare reports and metrics on environment health, incident trends, and team performance.
• Planning & Forecasting
• Participate in capacity planning for resource and environment scaling.
• Help define KPIs and contribute to roadmap planning for environment operations.
• Documentation & Compliance
• Ensure all environment-related procedures, SOPs, and knowledge bases are up to date.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of IT/software industry experience with strong exposure to environment management.
• Proven experience in leading environment readiness/operations/support teams.
• Strong knowledge of incident management, RCA methodologies, and monitoring tools.
• Experience in automation and environment optimization initiatives.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good to have ITIL or equivalent certification.
• Experience in handling client communications in a product-based company environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
