Tax Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented GST Assistant to join our GST Compliance Team. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing and filing GST returns, reconciling data, handling notices, and ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements under the Goods and Services Tax law. Key Responsibilities:Preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.). Reconciliation of GSTR-2B/2A with purchase register and resolving mismatches. Preparation of input tax credit (ITC) summary and verification with books of accounts. Assistance in GST registration, amendments, and cancellation applications. Drafting replies to GST departmental notices and coordinating with clients for supporting documents. Maintaining proper documentation and records for audit and departmental purposes. Coordinating with audit and accounts team for cross-checking GST data with financial statements. Keeping track of changes in GST law, notifications, and circulars and implementing them in practice. Desired Candidate Profile:Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / Inter CA or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 6 Months experience in GST return filing and compliance preferred. Freshers with strong academic background and eagerness to learn may also apply. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, and GST portal operations. Knowledge of Power Query / VBA will be an added advantage. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
