Systems Engineer Trainee

This is a full-time role for a Systems Engineer / Cloud Support Engineer based in Chennai. You will be eager for designing, deploying, and maintaining Systems & Cloud, on-premises systems, ensuring security and optimizing cost and performance. Systems Engineers typically work closely with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver robust cloud environments on platforms such as AWS and Azure Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Deploy, and Maintain Systems & Cloud Infrastructure: Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud environments tailored to business needs.
• Cloud Solution Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the usage, performance, and costs of cloud resources.
• Automation and Scripting: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation; develop deployment and monitoring scripts.
• Application Deployment: Support the deployment and configuration of cloud-based applications and services, collaborating with development teams.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security policies and controls to safeguard data and meet compliance requirements.
• Migration Planning: Plan and execute migrations of data and applications from on-premises systems to the cloud.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Quickly diagnose and resolve issues in cloud infrastructure, providing support to teams and users.
• Documentation and Best Practices: Define and document cloud standards and deployment guidelines; provide training as needed.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams—including DevOps, Security, and IT operations—to ensure alignment and integration of cloud solutions.

Requirements and Skills

• One year experience preferred as Systems Engineer or Cloud Engineer or similar technical role or Fresh Engineering graduate with eager to learn and adopt.
• Exposure to at least one major cloud platform: Azure or AWS
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• In-depth understanding of networking, hardware, storage solutions, virtual machines, containers, and serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity/access management, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Cloud platform certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
