Role Overview: As a Team Manager at INOPC-HVDC in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in leading a group and overseeing its strategy, operation, resource planning, and competence development. Collaboration with cross-functional groups/teams, suppliers, and customers will be essential, along with serving as a sounding board within the organization. Your responsibilities will include analysis, risk management, and handling tender calculations and pricing models in coordination with the tender responsible. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for medium to long-term resource planning and allocation based on tender and project forecasts in collaboration with the global organization - Ensure department KPIs such as on-time delivery, first pass yield (FPY), and productivity are met and financial budget goals are achieved - Review and approve techno-economic offerings in tenders/projects, assess risks and opportunities - Conduct routine reviews and follow-ups with project teams, cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers; recruit personnel within the HC budget - Conduct personnel assessments, set targets for direct reports, plan for future scope expansion and competence development, and drive operational development locally - Participate in the unit's strategic work, develop local strategy and road map - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions, caring for colleagues, and supporting the business Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Line Manager/Team Leader with a team size of at least 10+ - Basic knowledge in HVDC/FACTS/Substation; experience in Primary design of HVDC/FACTS/substation preferred - Strong intercultural sensitivity and leadership skills - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Note: No additional details of the company were provided in the job description.
