JOB SUMMARY: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in Design and Engineering of GIS and AIS Substations projects Should be working as Electrical Engineer with experience in Primary Engineering Design for High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) substations ranging from 380KV (Gulf experience is mandatory) . The candidate will be responsible for creating engineering deliverables related to physical layout, equipment sizing, grounding, and busbar designs in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and client specifications. (Saudi experience is preferred) PRE-BID DESIGN: Analyze tender documents, client technical specifications, and project requirements Prepare conceptual primary layout drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and equipment arrangement plans based on tender scope Develop preliminary BOQ (Bill of Quantities), equipment sizing, and quantity take-offs for major items (CTs, PTs, breakers, disconnectors, etc.) Propose optimized layout solutions considering cost, space, reliability, and constructability Collaborate with proposal and estimation teams to finalize cost-effective design solutions Provide technical inputs for bid documents, method statements, and compliance matrices Interface with OEMs/vendors for technical data, specifications, and pricing inputs Identify technical risks, deviations, and value-engineering opportunities Support clarification responses, client presentations, and technical bid evaluations EXECUTION OF CONTRACT : Prepare primary design drawings including: General Arrangement (GA) / Layouts Equipment layout plans Sectional views Cable routing diagrams Earthing layouts and details Busbar calculations and drawings HV equipment connection and interconnection details Conduct equipment sizing and selection (circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, surge arresters, etc.) Perform clearance studies (electrical & mechanical) as per IS/IEC/IEEE standards Develop and review substation grounding (earthing) design Support the preparation of bill of quantities (BOQ) and material specifications Ensure designs are compliant with relevant standards (IEC, IEEE, IS, CBIP, etc.) Coordinate with secondary design, civil, and protection teams for interface clarity Support proposal and estimation teams during bidding stages with design input Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions

As a Manager- Substation Design at our company, you will play a crucial role in the power evacuation process. Your responsibilities will include: - Pooling Substation Equipment Sizing calculations and finalization of ratings. - Delivery of Pooling Sub-station primary engineering Drawings and Documents. - Co-ordination with the execution team and prioritize technical bid closure. - Review of design and Drawings to meet ReNew standards and specifications, good engineering practice with excellent constructability. - Supporting for Substation Electrical Design & Drawings tools Dialux. - Supporting and involvement in pre-bid engineering of PSS Equipment activity. - Introducing new initiatives for PSS Cost reduction. - Involvement in Equipment standardization and procurement activity. - Maintaining project documentation. - Analyzing Deviation from Technical Specification, Standard in design, and equipment selection. - Obtaining construction design approval. - Vendor Equipment document and design approval. - Achieving technical closure with Equipment manufacturer/Supplier. - Managing new initiatives corrective actions such as prototype installation support identified risk, and risk mitigation, productivity measure to review and improve the design, and product/design failure RCA review and CA capability, improving design process flow timeline. To be eligible for this role, you should have: - 5-10 years of experience in Electrical design & engineering. - Knowledge in primary design of Sub-Station, Plant & Equipment layout, Electrical equipment specifications. - Knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software. Your main interfaces will include: - Wind infra- Pooling Sub-Station primary and secondary engineering team. - Technical support to SCM and Execution team.
