Overview

Systems, Network & Security Administrator

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain local IT infrastructure: servers, networks, workstations, and firewalls.
  • Ensure security best practices: patch management, VPN configuration, access control, backups.
  • Monitor system performance, uptime, and logs, ensuring high availability.
  • Implement and maintain

    backup & disaster recovery procedures

    .
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and role-based access (Active Directory / M365).
  • Troubleshoot incidents, provide user support, and escalate when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation of setups, procedures, and changes.
  • Coordinate with the

    French IT team

    to align standards, monitor systems, and provide updates.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and work with teams to remediate findings.
  • Support compliance initiatives (GDPR, ISO27001, etc.).

Technical Environment

(Not all required – ability to learn is key)

  • Operating Systems:

    Linux (Debian/Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows Server/Desktop
  • Networking & Security:

    VPNs, Firewalls (Cisco, Fortigate, OPNsense, pfSense)
  • Identity & Access Management:

    Active Directory, LDAP, MFA
  • Collaboration & Endpoint Management:

    Microsoft 365, Intune
  • Virtualization & Cloud:

    VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS basics
  • Monitoring Tools:

    Zabbix, Nagios, Prometheus, SIEM solutions
  • Backup Tools:

    Veeam, rsync, snapshots, restore testing
  • Scripting/Automation:

    Bash, PowerShell

Profile Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience

    in Systems / Network Administration.
  • Strong understanding of

    IT security principles and best practices

    .
  • Familiarity with

    firewall configuration, endpoint security, and EDR solutions

    .
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving across systems and networks.
  • Good knowledge of

    documentation practices

    (clear, structured).
  • Strong communication skills – able to provide clear feedback and updates.
  • Mandatory:

    Ability to understand and communicate in

    French

    (written & spoken).
  • Curious, self-motivated, and eager to grow skills in systems, networks, and security.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with

    performance monitoring

    and

    incident response

    .
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO27001).
  • Prior experience in

    international IT collaboration

    .
