System Engineer

As a Systems Engineer at Aristocrat, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and administration for Linux systems, which includes Red Hat, OpenSUSE, CentOS, Debian, and Ubuntu. You will collaborate closely with the IT Manager, Senior Systems Engineers, and Regional Service Delivery Manager to ensure exceptional customer service delivery. Your expertise in automation and administration of Linux systems will play a crucial role in the flawless deployment of applications, leveraging tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. Ensuring critical data protection through accurate configuration, administration, and maintenance of backup programs for disaster recovery will be part of your daily responsibilities. Monitoring system performance, conducting root cause analysis, and maintaining high availability will also be key aspects of your role. Designing and documenting infrastructure solutions, applying ITIL methodology for effective IT service management, and providing outstanding customer service and verbal communication to meet user needs promptly and effectively are essential components of the position. You should be comfortable working in shifts to support global operations and possess a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a related role. An RHCE certification is required, along with proven hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and public cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Expertise in Ansible, including Ansible Tower, and other automation tools, as well as extensive hands-on experience with Linux distributions like CentOS, Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, and Debian, are necessary for this role. A solid understanding of Linux networking concepts and configurations, creativity, continuous improvement mindset, attention to detail, strong initiative, outstanding technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, adaptability, a customer service-focused attitude, and excellent communication skills are also expected.
