Professor - Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Reports to - Head of the department Job purpose Overall responsibility of Academics and Research Activities Duties and responsibilities Design and development of the overall curriculam as per the current needs. Develop innovative approaches to course design and deliver a range of courses at various levels including preparation of course plan, effective conduction of lectures and maintain attendance. Deliver knowledge including practical skills, methods and techniques. Set and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students. Maintain the quality records related to the academics as well as portfolio. Supervise student projects, field trips and, where appropriate, placements. Ensuring that the related lab equipment are maintained. Contribution in lab development activities. Ensure that teaching design and delivery act in accordance with the quality and standards of the institute. Coordinate with the other faculty members for various departmental or institute level activities. Contribute in development and implementation of research and development strategy. Publishing research work in peer reviewed SCOPUS / SCI / Web of Science Indexed journals. Prepare research proposals and fetching funds from various funding agencies. Acquiring funds from different societies / schemes Enhancing skills by attending workshops / FDPs / Industrial training and MOOC courses. Organising Conference / Workshop / Seminar in collaboration with SPPU, ISTE, AICTE etc. Contribution in outreach activities, consultancy, Industry collaboration and product development. Involvement in the departments other activities. In the absence of HoD's, if given the charge, carry out routine activities of the school. Any other task assigned by management of the institute from time to time. Qualifications Ph.D. in Engineering in the disciplines of Chemical / Computer / Civil / Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication / Electronics/ Information Technology / Mechanical. Essential requirements: BE/B.Tech & ME/ M.Tech in relevant branch with 1st class, PhD in appropriate discipline. Post PhD publications and guiding PhD students is highly desirable. Minimum of 10 years teaching/ research /industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate professor or Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or Research and /or Industry. If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising/ designing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books/ research paper publications / IPR/ patents, etc. An intellectual leader with a demonstrated track record showing distinguished teaching, research, and scholarly publications that exhibit a balanced commitment to academic excellence.
